The Youfoodz delivery network is Australia-wide (over 3000+ locations) with next day delivery available in select metro areas. Their website also has a postcode checker. Cut off times for next day delivery depends on your area, but from a few random tests we’ve conducted, the standard cut off seems to be around 7pm for metro areas.
Delivery times change each week depending on routes, however they usually start in the early hours of the morning. Youfoodz also offer a contact number, (07) 3633 0708, if you want to check the status of your meals on the day of delivery.
Our food arrived in the new Youfoodz “Cool Box” (goodbye styrofoam box) with cool packs. According to the Youfoodz website, the Cool Box is weather proof and will help to keep your meals at a safe temperature for up to 8 hours. That said, it’s recommend to limit outdoor exposure on warmer days and it’s always best to refrigerate your meals as soon as possible.
Each meal was packaged using the Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) technique, aimed at keeping your food fresh for as long as possible. Each meal has its own use by date, ingredients and heading instructions.
In terms of calories, Youfoodz categorise their meals into three groups. These groups are:
